Job Description

Please note that each roles has a slightly different scope Solution Architect #1 Need resource that can do SA and implementation. Need MAC experience Need experience with Small Workflow/Smart Pool Need to perform configuration after CE racks and stacks Will be performing a migration from SONAS using Dobi Miner. Needs experience with Dobi Minor. Following are the required tasks for this migration Determines the engagement process and schedule. Develops a high-level Project Plan with critical path events and milestones. Conducts a kick-off meeting with the customer to review the project scope, expectations, communication plan, and availability of required resources. Performs assessment and analysis of the migration environment. Validates that the customer’s file environment is ready to be used for the data migration. Performs design for SONAS to Isilon data migration using DobiMiner. Performs source system configuration and data discovery and analysis. Updates target system configuration in preparation for data migration. Verifies the access privilege to the source file server(s). Reviews the network evaluation, and identifies any network enhancements required for migration. Performs source to target mapping. Installs and configures data migration software. Performs pre-migration testing to confirm the migration plan. Designs and performs User Acceptance Test (UAT) data selection and baseline copy. Supports customer testing of the data migration software and plan. Applies source to target mappings. Sets up migration groupings. Initiates baseline copies. Coordinates project closeout, review, and sign-off. Solution Arachitect # 2 Need resource that can do SA and implementation. Need MAC experience Need experience with Small Workflow/Smart Pools Need to perform configuration after CE racks and stacks Will be performing a custom migration with the following components (not to exceed the listed values): CIFS file systems to be migrated by host-based methods: 1 Amount of CIFS host data (TBs) to be migrated via host-based methods: 300.00 NFS file systems to be migrated by host-based methods: 1 Amount of NFS host data (TBs) to be migrated via host-based methods: 50.00 Data migration events via host-based methods: 20 During this part of the engagement, client: Gathers and verifies the information required for the file data migration engagement by confirming that the customer’s environment meets all hardware and software requirements. Architects the file data migration engagement solution by reviewing the host/server environment, network environment, and configuration and designs an optimum infrastructure to support the migration methodology. Verifies the network, server, or storage configuration changes have been completed prior to the file data migration activity. Creates a plan for data migration activity. Estimates the timing and sequencing of the migration. Plan file system mapping of equal size and structure (1-to-1). Consolidation, restructuring or resizing of file systems are not included as part of a standard file data migration. Develop a contingency rollback plan. Identifies migration constraints. Installs temporary hardware or software as required by the migration methodology. Initiate migration of file systems of equal size and structure (1-to-1) for each migration event. Review overall migration process with the customer Review migration plan for each event with customer. Completes and delivers the Configuration Guide Custom NAS Migration Services This part of the engagement includes the following components (not to exceed the listed values): CIFS file systems to be migrated by host-based methods: 40 Amount of CIFS host data (TBs) to be migrated via host-based methods: 35.00 NFS file systems to be migrated by host-based methods: 20 Amount of NFS host data (TBs) to be migrated via host-based methods: 15.00 Data migration events via host-based methods: 3 Gathers and verifies the information required for the file data migration engagement by confirming that the customer’s environment meets all hardware and software requirements.
