We are looking for a skilled Business Analyst to join us in delivering excellent results for our Federal Government clients. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for improving the performance and efficiency of business processes within the data management and governance domain by analyzing end-user and stakeholder needs, recommending solutions, and collaborating with product development teams to manage the execution of approved initiatives in an agile environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Business Process Analysis and Improvement and Requirements Management
  • Assess “As Is” and “To Be” processes and document gaps
  • Collect end-user requirements (for improving business processes and tools) via interviews, focus groups, and other stakeholder discussions
  • Categorize / segment similar requirements, and create additional requirements that address client pain points
  • Maintain up-to-date requirements lists (in Excel, JIRA), and run reports on the same to inform management discussions
  • Facilitate planning and requirements prioritization meetings with high-level officials
  • Understand and create solutions to improve user experience
  • Agile product development Support
  • Collaborate with product development team to translate requirements into technical specifications for the proposed solution
  • Develop user stories and initial wireframes to guide the architecture of the proposed solution
  • Conduct UAT sessions / focus groups with users to capture feedback on functionality being developed within each agile sprint
  • Translate user feedback into refined requirements for development team
  • Serve as liaison between client business users and development team, communicating and interpreting requirements and technical solutions
  • Stakeholder and Executive Interaction
  • Support organizational Change Management
  • Collaborate to elicit new product ideas and improve existing solutions
  • Team support
  • Program management documentation support, including developing high-quality presentations for client meetings
  • Risk and issue management / resolution support
  • Participation in team and customer meetings, documenting notes and action items


  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business or a technical field
  • Excellent Excel and presentation skills
  • 3+ Years of experience as a Business Analyst on Federal Government projects
  • Ability to confidently communicate to and advise senior management
  • Experience directly communicating with, supporting or training an end-user community
  • Experience working with technical / product development teams


  • Experience and/or expertise in Project Management
  • Experience with Scrum or Kanban agile software development methodologies
  • Experience with the software development life-cycle (SDLC)

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $100,000.00 to $175,000.00 /year
