Job Description

Job Title: Project Coordinator-Project Management Support

Location:  NYC/ Remote

Duration: 12 month

First Month Onsite then Remote



  • Assists Project/Program Managers with tracking and reporting of project status, resources and costs to ensure accuracy in reporting and to minimize project delays. a. Development of the baseline schedule
  1. Setup meetings to review project status with core project team members, key stakeholders and corporate leadership team members.
  2. Communicate action item status information to all team members
  3. Creates and maintains status reports, resource management reports, project status reports, and other customized reports as requested
  4. Communicate consolidated project milestones and deliverables for readiness
  5. Research, collect and evaluate project data necessary to meet project reporting and evaluation requirements
  6. Assist in the creation of project charter, work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.


  • Quality Control and Risk Management a. Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately per PMO guidelines
  1. Adhere and comply with MTA IT PMO framework and enforces quality control and project standards

  2. Requirements
  3. Test Plans
  4. Test Cases/Scenarios
  5. Action Item Logs
  6. Risk Matrices
  7. Status Report



  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in IT project coordinator portfolio management and project support and/or related work
  • Experience in Application Rationalization required
  • Experience with Enterprise Applications such as Time keeping, Document Management and Crew scheduling systems


  • Experience with ITIL processes
  • Excellent organizational skills and detail orientation
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and within tight deadlines
  • Ability to manage rapidly and frequently changing priorities
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of management
  • Functional knowledge of project management methodology and tools
  • Advanced, high level proficiency of Microsoft Office products (Visio, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Sharepoint and Microsoft Project)
