Job Description

Job Title: Business Analyst (UI/UX) Job Summary •This person should be able to conceptualize and design multi-channel and platform experiences, and understand user data, while keeping an eye on the business’ objectives. This person should enjoy debating ideas, business analysis, and collaborate with cross-functional team using a complementary blend of technical understanding and design expertise to take projects from napkin sketches to final visual specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience translating business needs and technical requirements into compelling information architecture, interaction models, task flows, and UI experiences for any given project across multiple platforms while using data to inform the designs created. Responsibilities: •Produce efficient project definition documents, business requirements, functional specifications, test plans •Define site/application structures and create concept models, data matrices and flows, wireframes, and task flows •Demonstrate full system development life cycle knowledge including phases, deliverables and interactions with others •Ability to understand business needs, system requirements, customer motivations and behaviors and translate them into deliverable tasks •Create and present the visualization of innovative product concepts by building high-level interaction prototypes through sketching, white boarding, and storyboarding •Create documentation (including design rules, interaction flows, and animations) that enables software developers to build software that fosters a delightful user experience •Collaborate with and develop mutual respect and trust with design, product management, content strategy, engineering and marketing •Communicate results and user experience recommendations in compelling and creative ways •Experience with responsive design and use of content management templates is a plus •Able to identify user goals, analyze usage metrics, and accurately interpret multi-functional team needs to inform interaction designs created •Able to use strong analytical and problem solving skills in translating business requirements into easy to use user interactions Skills and Experience: •BA or BS in a design-related field •3+ years of experience as an information architect, interaction designer, user experience designer, usability researcher/analyst, or a similar role •Experience developing business cases and/or process reengineering •Experience documenting business rules, processes, data models and report definition •Document Business requirements from Wireframe Designs •Work closely with the business and creative teams to test and refine designs and prototypes •Experienced in partnering with technical teams to ensure technical feasibility and accurate implementation of project designs and behaviors •Experienced in turning complex problems into simple and engaging customer experiences across all device platforms •Expertise in requirement visualization and developing personas, information architecture, interaction models, user flows, and solutions for user error scenarios •Comfortable with an iterative design process that includes accepting and managing feedback and constructive criticism •Ability to create interactive prototypes with wireframes or designs must •Has deep understanding of data types and analysis techniques •Extensive experience with wireframe tools such as OmniGraffle, Axure, Keynote, Visio, etc. •Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills and ability to effectively present and explain design decisions to team members and stakeholders •Excellent collaboration skills with cross-functional external team members as well as with internal UX and visual design team members •Strong self-starter with great organizational skills and time management skills. Can keep track of the details involved in working on multiple projects •Detail-oriented and highly developed organizational skills including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
