Job Description

Objective: Manage and ensure operational stability of non-production data center infrastructure and operations used by Marriott Plan, Build and Run organizations for development of new technology initiatives. Individual will primarily be responsible for coordinating the resolution of service impacting incidents that appear in lower environments by working with the various infrastructure support teams in restoring service and performing problem management follow up where necessary. When there are no active incidents to resolve, the Lower Environment Coordinator will support overall operational maintenance, manage client relationships and produce SLA compliance evidence. This will include ongoing tasks such as metric tracking, reporting, planning and communication of infrastructure maintenance activities and design and build new self-service and automation capabilities for software development teams to manage infrastructure components. It may also include building out requirements for future resource needs, creating and updating policies and procedures, and working with production support team to develop operational efficiencies. Qualifications: Working knowledge of Scrum / Agile processes Experience leading in an Agile, fast paced, DEVOPS environment 2 or more years demonstrated experience in DEVOPS environment Added plus if years of experience encompasses DEVOPS methodology transition Experience with Linux and UNIX administration Experience with Apache, Tomcat, JBoss, IHS/WAS, etc. Experience with scripting languages, including PowerShell, Bash, PHP, Python, Java, Node, or Ruby Experience with Web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and .NET Experience with automation frameworks and configuration management using either Puppet, Chef, or an equivalent Experience with continuous integration tools and platforms, including Jenkins, Maven or TravisCI Experience with LXC and containerization, including Docker Familiarity with Web Sphere Application Server 7.x/8.x Familiarity with WebSphere Message Queue v7/v8 Familiarity with WebSphere DataPower XI50, XI52, v7.x Familiarity with WebSphere Message Broker v8 Familiarity with Tomcat 7.x Familiarity with database concepts and operations Competencies: Adaptability: Demonstrates flexibility within a variety of changing situations while working with various individuals and groups.
